Position Title:Applications Development Analyst III

Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm

Summary of Duties: Responsible for developing solutions for a mature Oracle Retail Merchandising/Business Intelligence platform; develop software on a complex BI environment built on Netezza/MicroStrategy platform; utilize all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including gathering requirements, providing programming support, preparing functional and technical documentation, testing, user acceptance and rollout. Primary duties are to develop ETL programs using SQL, Store Procedures, Shell scripts and Perl in a Linux environment; architect highly scalable and high performing technology solutions for a large BI platform on Netezza Striper Server, MicroStrategy v 9. 4/10. 4 with Mobile solutions; suggest and develop alternative approaches to resolving problems; assist in resolving production support problems and help meet pre-defined SLAs for system availability; develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs; create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation; work collaboratively with other team members to foster an environment of respect, open communication and cross functional expertise; contribute to the evaluation of new technologies to ensure the continuity and advancement of data technology. Occasional telecommuting/work from home is available.

Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Engineering and five (5) years experience in the offered role or in IT positions including Technical Lead and/or Associate Consultant. Background in education, training or experience must include experience with Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence (BI) technology, Netezza, MicroStrategy and Shell Scripting as well as knowledge of automation tools to schedule jobs; demonstrated ability to understand and develop software on complex BI network; and demonstrated ability to contribute to all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
