Analyst, Inventory Control Audit


Burlington Stores is looking for an analytical and process minded Inventory Control Analyst to join our Supply Chain team!

The DC Inventory Control Analyst will be required to comply with the policies and procedures as defined in the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). This position will support the Inventory Control and Compliance teams in addition to other members of the Supply Chain, including but not limited to, Finance, Accounts Payable, Buyers, Allocations and Planning, Transportation, DC Operations.

  • Perform thorough research of inventory issues and document investigation methods and issues while performing root cause analysis and submitting recommendations for corrective action.
  • Report and analyze trends affecting shrink while documenting root cause and action plans and engaging the appropriate levels of management in the Supply Chain to assist with the escalation of items needing immediate attention.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements by completing audits of the monthly Shrink Inventory Research files and preparation of the 4-Wall Shrink Reports for the DC Shrink Taskforce meetings
  • Manage the movement of inventory through exceptions to ensure manual adjustments are completed to rectify inventory levels both in WM and RMS
  • Develop training materials and train associates in support roles within operation

Bachelor s Degree is required with at least 2-3 years of analytical experience. Our ideal candidate will have experience working in finance, audit, and inventory control and must be comfortable working in both a corporate and distribution environment. Warehouse Management System experience or Sortation System experience is preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
